“This secretarial order hobbles one of our country’s most successful programs that supports public lands and community recreation spaces. It will add layers of unnecessary red tape that will delay or even derail future projects entirely. This out-of-touch order limits the rights of private property owners and provides a back door for public land sell-off by allowing states to use LWCF money to purchase federal land. We are asking our Congressional delegation to oppose these roadblocks and take action to preserve outdoor access for our families.”
